Margaret Rose Thompson, 81, of Prescott, Arizona, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Born March 15, 1942, in Cottonwood, Arizona, Margaret was a beacon of warmth and generosity throughout her life.
A graduate of Mingus Union High School (1960) and Northern Arizona University (1964), Margaret dedicated 35 years to teaching elementary school in the Prescott Unified School District, touching the lives of thousands of students who remember her as "Mrs. T."
She is survived by her children, David Thompson (Susan) of Phoenix and Jennifer Martinez (Carlos) of Denver; five grandchildren; and her sister, Dorothy Williams of Sedona. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Robert "Bob" Thompson, in 2019.

I'm now a reading specialist myself, and I think of her every single day. Rest in peace, Mrs. T. You made such a difference."
"Mom had this way of making everyone feel like they were the most important person in the room. Even in her final days, she was more concerned about whether the nurses had eaten lunch than about herself. That was just who she was. We miss you so much, Mom."
